Other Projects

Alone/Together

2022

Alone/Together was a collaborative art exhibition created by the Bloom Collective, a group of European artists and creatives who found connection during the isolation of the pandemic. The project explored themes of personal and collective experiences of the pandemic through various art installations and interactive experiences.

Key aspects of the project included:

  • Visualising the collective's personal pandemic journeys through data-driven triptych artworks
  • Exploring digital connection and communication patterns during isolation through interactive data visualisations
  • Creating a full-sensory dinner party installation to reflect on belonging, loss, and re-emergence
  • Blending traditional and AI-generated art to capture the group's shared experiences

The Alone/Together exhibition was made possible through an EU-funded i-Portunus Houses grant, which allowed the geographically dispersed Bloom Collective to gather and collaborate in person. The project demonstrated the value of physical, face-to-face collaboration in producing meaningful, immersive art experiences.
